Our terms, in plain words

This page sums up the Cedar Digital Platform Master Services Agreement (version v2026-10) and the Data Processing Addendum. The full documents are what you sign, and they control. Both are listed at the bottom and given to you before you sign.

What you get

• A website: Own it ($999) or Bigger site ($1,499), yours at final payment, or Rent it ($79 a month), which we host and keep current.
• The AI front office ($279 a month, website included), set up for your type of business. Opening October.
• An automated assistant that answers calls and chat, plus the tools on your plan.
• Nothing goes live until you approve a preview.

Tools marked Opening October

A tool marked Opening October is built and tested but not yet running for a client. You can book a spot now. You pay nothing for it until it runs for your business. Billing starts that day. There is no setup fee.

Price and billing

• There are no setup fees. Nothing monthly has a minimum term.
• A website you own: $199 to start, the rest when you approve. Got a preview from us? Nothing up front. You pay when you approve the site.
• Your monthly price is locked for 12 months. After that, we give 30 days’ notice before any increase.
• Calls past the plan go to voicemail. Nothing extra is billed without your written okay.
• If my email quoted a lower price, you pay the lower one.
• No late fees and no interest. If a card fails, you get 10 days to fix it.

Canceling

Everything monthly is month to month, with no minimum term. Cancel anytime by emailing [email protected]. You don’t have to call, talk to anyone, or give a reason, and there is no fee to cancel. We confirm by email, and we don’t charge you again after that. Your service runs to the end of the month you already paid for. We don’t refund part of a month.

Sales tax

All prices are plus Washington sales tax, at the rate for the business location where you use our services. Since October 1, 2025, Washington taxes website building and support, IT services and software you use online as retail sales, and business customers are not exempt. The one exception on our price list is hosting sold by itself ($19 a month), which has no sales tax. Every receipt shows the tax on its own line. If the law changes, we charge what it requires from the date it applies and tell you by email. A tax change is not a price change.

Who owns your site

• Own it or Bigger site: $199 to start, the balance when you approve the finished site. Got a preview from us? Nothing up front. The site is yours at final payment. Hosting ($19 a month, or $49 with up to 2 changes) is optional and never switched on for you.
• Rent it: your content is yours. Cedar owns the design and code and hosts it while you rent. Buy it any time for $999. Cedar keeps the general tools and templates it reuses for other clients and gives you a permanent, free license to the parts your site uses once you own it.
• Website included with the AI front office (Opening October): yours to keep after 12 paid months, and we transfer your web address. Leave sooner and you can buy it for $999, or keep renting it alone for $79 a month.

Some parts of a site may be made with AI tools, and the law may give no one rights in those parts. Either way, Cedar will never claim a right in your site against you.

Rent it

• $79 a month. No setup fee. We build the site from your approved preview, host it, and make up to 3 small changes a month when you email us. A change is up to 15 minutes: menu, hours, photos, text. More than 3 in a month? We quote the extra ones first, or they wait for next month. You decide. Send it by 3 PM on a business day and it is live by the end of the next business day. Often sooner. Billing starts the day your site goes live.
• Month to month. No minimum. Cancel anytime by email. Renting does not make the site yours. Switch to owning any time for $999.
• Your web address. If we register one for you, it is in your business’s name, and we transfer it to you free when you stop renting or after you buy the site.
• When you stop renting, the site comes down at the end of your paid month. Your photos, logo and menu stay yours, and we send you a copy on request within 60 days. You can buy the site for $999 before you stop and keep it.
• Restaurants: allergens and food notices are yours. We post allergen, dietary and food-safety information only when you send it in writing, and we post it word for word.

All prices plus Washington sales tax, except hosting alone. The Website Rental Agreement (version rental-v2026-10b) is what you sign, and it controls.

Your phone number

Forwarding your own number to us is the default, and you can stop forwarding anytime. If we set up a number for you, it is yours to take with you. We give you the port-out details within 3 business days, free, even if you owe us money.

The assistant

• It says it is automated, and every call it answers starts with a notice, in English and Spanish, that it is an automated assistant and that the call is recorded and transcribed. You cannot turn the notice off.
• It answers only from information you approve, including a price menu you reconfirm every 90 days.
• It uses AI and can make mistakes. We check its answers every week and flag problems to you.

Not an emergency service

Urgent Ring-Through forwards urgent calls to your on-call number. It is not 911, an alarm, or a dispatch service, and it cannot call 911. Calls can fail. You keep your own on-call plan. Home service businesses that use it keep general liability insurance of at least $1,000,000.

Texts and email

• You are the sender of every message, and every contact must be your own customer or someone who asked you something.
• No bought lists. We never text numbers from an imported list.
• People opt in with a checkbox and can reply STOP anytime. We stop all texts within minutes.
• We may block or delay any message that looks like it breaks the law or carrier rules.

Your customers’ data

• It is yours. We process it only to run your tools.
• We never sell it, use it for ads, use it to train AI, or mix it with other clients’ data. What our providers’ own terms allow is listed in our Privacy Policy under “AI and your data.”
• Call recordings are deleted after 90 days and transcripts after 6 months.
• If there is a breach, we tell you within 72 hours at most.
• Export your data anytime. After you cancel, it is deleted within 90 days.

Support

Help every day, weekends included. Routine changes are ready to preview within 48 hours. Anything else gets a reply from a real person within 48 hours. If something breaks, we aim to have a person on it within 4 hours, 7 AM to 9 PM. We aim for 99.9% uptime. These are targets, not guarantees. If uptime falls short, you get a credit on your bill.

We do not promise results

We don’t promise calls, leads, jobs, reviews, search rankings or revenue. We set things up, run them, and show you exactly what happened: every call the assistant answered, every message it sent, and every change we made. We don’t promise the assistant will catch every call or get every detail right; it uses AI and can make mistakes, and you can check and correct what it said. Any numbers we show you as examples are illustrations, not typical results.

If something goes wrong

• Each side’s total liability is limited to the fees paid in the last 12 months. Neither side pays the other for lost profits. The full agreement lists the exceptions.
• You cover claims that come from your business, your content, prices and contact lists, and the handling of forwarded calls. We cover claims that our platform infringes someone’s rights or that come from a breach of our security duties.
• Washington law applies. Disputes go to the courts of Pierce County, or small claims court. No class actions between us.

Changes to these terms

We give 30 days’ notice by email. If you do not like a change, you can cancel before it starts.
